Specialised support, trained workers
Some support needs specific training. Workers on Inaro can be matched to the specialised supports you need — we verify their qualifications, and our Inaro Academy training keeps their skills current.

How specialised supports are funded under the NDIS
Where it sits in your plan
Typically Core — Disability-Related Health Supports (DRH) or High-Intensity Supports, often alongside a Behaviour Support Plan or allied health plan.
Specialised supports usually require documented care plans (e.g. mealtime management plan, behaviour support plan, manual handling plan). Inaro works to your plan and keeps worker training aligned with it.
Your plan manager, support coordinator or allied health team can confirm exactly how your plan funds these supports.
Common questions about specialised supports
How do you make sure a worker is trained for what I need?
Workers complete the relevant training for each specialised support before delivering it. We verify every worker's qualifications when they join Inaro, and our Inaro Academy keeps refresher courses available year-round.
Are workers nurses or registered health professionals?
Most are trained support workers; some have nursing or allied health backgrounds. Tell us what you need and we will match accordingly — including coordinating with a nurse practitioner or clinician where required.
Can supports change as my needs change?
Yes — let us know and we will review the support, the worker training required, and the right people to deliver it. Many people add or change specialised supports as their plan evolves.
I have a Behaviour Support Plan — can workers follow it?
Yes. Workers are trained to deliver behaviour support in line with your plan and reporting any restrictive practices in keeping with NDIS requirements.
