How pay works at Inaro

Your hourly wage is set against the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award, plus the relevant penalties for evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and broken shifts. We pay you fortnightly through PAYG payroll, with super (12%) on top.

You're a PAYG employee — no ABN, no BAS, no chasing invoices, no self-funded super. Penalty rates apply for evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and broken shifts in line with the SCHADS Award. Higher classification levels apply for specialised supports.

Specialised supports? They sit at a higher SCHADS classification level — with a higher wage. We'll let you know which level applies when you onboard.

Common questions

Am I an employee of Inaro?

Yes. You're a PAYG employee on a SCHADS-aligned wage — not an independent contractor. Inaro directly employs every support worker, so the usual things employees get (super, leave, Workers Compensation, training) all apply to you.

How and when do I get paid?

Fortnightly, through PAYG payroll, into your nominated bank account. You'll see a payslip each pay run showing your hours, base pay, penalty rates, leave accrual, super and PAYG withheld.

What's the hourly wage?

Your base hourly wage is set against the SCHADS Award classification level that matches your experience and the type of support you're doing. Penalty rates apply for evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and broken shifts. We'll confirm your level and base rate at offer stage.

Do I get super and leave?

Yes. 12% superannuation is paid on top of your wage, to your nominated fund. You accrue annual leave (with leave loading where applicable), personal/carer's leave, and any other entitlements under the SCHADS Award and the National Employment Standards.

Do I need an ABN?

No. You're an employee — no ABN, no BAS, no quarterly business activity statements. We handle PAYG, super and reporting.

Do I need my own insurance?

No. Inaro holds Workers Compensation (in line with state law) and group $20M public liability + medical malpractice cover across all your Inaro shifts. Personal income protection is optional and entirely up to you.

Can I pick my own shifts?

Yes. Tell us your availability and travel area, and you'll see bookings you can accept or decline. We don't allocate shifts you haven't said yes to.

Can I work for other providers too?

Yes — you can work for other providers in your own time. Your Inaro hours and pay are tracked separately. Just keep us in the loop if availability changes.
