Support work without the admin grind.
Inaro employs its own support workers — not a marketplace, not a contractor pool. That means a real wage, fortnightly pay, super, paid leave, Workers Compensation, group insurance and paid training. We handle payroll, tax, billing and admin. You focus on the support.
The good parts of support work, without the rest
A salaried disability support job — with the participant choice and shift flexibility you'd expect from the best of the marketplaces, and the security, training and team you'd expect from a real employer.
Pick your shifts
Work the hours that fit your life — part-time, full-time, around study or family. You decide your availability and your travel area, and you accept or decline each booking.
Choose who you work with
Connect with participants whose needs and interests suit your experience. The right match is better for everyone.
Real pay, with super and leave
A SCHADS-aligned hourly wage, paid fortnightly through PAYG payroll. Super (12%), paid annual leave with leave loading, personal/carer's leave and Workers Compensation are all part of the package. We handle the tax.
Real support behind you
A team you can reach with questions, supervision when you need it, and clear processes if something doesn't go to plan.
Paid training and career growth
Paid orientation, NDIS-required modules and ongoing professional development. Move up classification levels as you take on more specialised supports.
A community, not a call centre
You're a person to us, not a roster slot. Join a community of support workers who genuinely care about the work.
Pay that reflects the work you do
Support work is skilled, important work — and at Inaro it's paid like a real job. SCHADS-aligned hourly wage, penalty rates for evenings and weekends, super on top, leave loading, paid training. Inaro handles payroll, PAYG tax, super and Workers Compensation so you don't have to.
- SCHADS Award-aligned hourly wage, with classification level set to your experience
- Penalty rates for evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and broken shifts
- Superannuation (12%) paid on top of your wage
- Paid annual leave (with leave loading), personal/carer's leave and Workers Compensation
- Inaro handles PAYG tax, super and reporting — you just see a fortnightly payslip
Employed, not contracted
You're a PAYG employee of Inaro — not an independent contractor and not a sole trader. No ABN, no BAS, no chasing invoices, no self-funded super. Inaro, employs you under the SCHADS Award, runs payroll, handles tax and super, and carries Workers Compensation on your behalf.
See the Pay & conditions page for a worked fortnight.

Requirements to join Inaro
You don't need years of experience to be a great support worker — but you do need to be safe, reliable and genuinely caring. Here's what we'll ask for.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have the right to work in Australia
- Hold or be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Provide a current National Police Check
- Hold a Working with Children Check where your support involves minors
- Complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, "Quality, Safety and You" (free, online)
- Provide references and relevant work or volunteering history
- Hold current First Aid and CPR certification, or be willing to obtain it
- Tax File Number and superannuation fund details (so we can set up your PAYG payroll)
- A genuine commitment to respectful, person-centred support
Some supports need extra qualifications
Certain types of support — such as complex personal care, medication assistance or manual handling — may require specific training or certification. We'll let you know what's needed for the work you want to take on, and exact requirements can vary by state and territory. Final requirements are confirmed during sign-up.
Support work shouldn't feel like going it alone
Choosing your own shifts is great — but you should never feel unsupported. As your employer, Inaro has your back: 24/7 incident response, supervision and clinical guidance, paid training, and an Employee Assistance Program for counselling.
- A responsive team you can reach with questions
- Clinical supervision and guidance on safety and good practice
- Help if a booking or participant situation changes
- Workers Compensation and group $20M public liability + medical malpractice cover
- An Employee Assistance Program with confidential counselling
- A community of fellow support workers
Work that gives back
Support workers tell us the best part of the job is the relationships — being a steady, trusted presence in someone's week. Inaro is built to protect that, not bury it under admin.
Common questions before you join
Do I need experience to become a support worker?
Not always. Some support — like companionship, community access and help around the home — values reliability, warmth and good judgement above formal experience. Other supports do need specific qualifications. Whatever your starting point, we'll be clear about what's required and what classification level you'll start on.
How many hours can I work?
That's up to you. You set your availability and travel area, and you choose which bookings to accept. Many workers fit support work around study, family or other jobs; others build a full schedule of regular participants.
How and when do I get paid?
Fortnightly, through PAYG payroll, into your nominated bank account. You'll see a payslip each pay run with your hours, base pay, penalty rates, leave accrual, super and PAYG withheld. Inaro invoices the participant / plan manager / NDIA — that's our job, not yours.
What pay and conditions do I get?
A SCHADS Award-aligned hourly wage, penalty rates for evenings / weekends / public holidays / sleepovers / broken shifts, 12% super, paid annual leave (with leave loading), personal/carer's leave, Workers Compensation and group $20M public liability + medical malpractice cover. Full detail on Pay & conditions.
What checks will I need?
You'll need an NDIS Worker Screening Check, the NDIS Worker Orientation Module, and a Working with Children Check if you support participants under 18. We'll guide you through the full list during onboarding — see Requirements above.
Am I an employee of Inaro?
Yes. You're a PAYG employee on a SCHADS-aligned wage — not an independent contractor and not a sole trader. Inaro directly employs every support worker, which means real pay, super, leave, Workers Compensation, training and a team you can ring.
Ready to do work that matters?
Apply to work with us. We'll guide you through the checks, paid orientation and onboarding, and have you ready for your first shift on a real wage with real entitlements.
